"Zoos and aquariums across America have combined forces to lead the challenge of preserving the world's incredible biological diversity." - Rick Barongi, Director Houston Zoo

At the heart of zoo and aquarium mission statements is the focus on conservation. In our current economic climate, many institutions are struggling to pay their expenses; with little left over to finance in situ conservation projects. Vendors providing any type of goods or services to zoos or aquariums can elevate their practices and participate in ‘conservation commerce.'

Bringing together individuals from different countries and disciplines, Zoos and Aquariums Committing to Conservation (ZACC) conferences help to build a effective global network for wildlife and habitat conservation. A fund has been established by VZACC (Vendors for Zoos and Aquariums Committing to Conservation) to directly sponsor work in the field. The ZACC Steering Committee considers proposals, allocates funds, distributes field reports and provides a year-end synopsis to every VZACC vendor.

If you are a vendor - we invite you to join us. Contact VZACC for more information at info@vzacc.org  If you are a buyer, this site provides a listing of the goods and services offered by those ‘Giving Back’ and an up-dated directory of ‘Fundraising Donors.’
